Terms of Service

These terms explain how we schedule, deliver, and manage residential housekeeping services in Chicago and nearby neighborhoods. By booking with us, you agree to the policies below.

Booking & Scheduling

  • Appointments are scheduled in advance based on availability and your preferred service type.
  • We confirm details by email or phone, including service date, time window, and estimated duration.
  • Recurring services (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly) maintain a consistent schedule unless changes are requested.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a service.
  • Late cancellations or missed appointments may incur a reasonable fee to cover reserved time.
  • We may reschedule in rare situations such as severe weather or staff emergencies; we will notify you promptly.

Customer Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, timely access to the home at the scheduled time.
  • Share accurate information about the space, pets, and any special care needs.
  • Secure valuables and sensitive items prior to the appointment.
  • Inform us of any areas off-limits or fragile surfaces that require special handling.

Service Limitations

  • We provide residential housekeeping only and do not perform hazardous, biohazard, or hoarding cleanups.
  • Our team does not move heavy furniture, lift above safe limits, or perform exterior window washing beyond reach.
  • Post-renovation cleaning covers typical dust and debris but excludes specialized construction remediation.

Quality & Satisfaction

If any area does not meet expectations, please notify us within 24 hours so we can make it right. We value long-term trust and will work with you to resolve concerns quickly.

Limitation of Liability

Thompson Housekeeping is not liable for ordinary wear and tear, pre-existing damage, or issues caused by incorrect customer-provided information. Any liability for loss or damage arising from our services is limited to the cost of the service provided on the affected visit, to the extent permitted by law.
